Foggy said: “I’m looking forward to being back in Wales in August for LlanBikeFest. I was at the Llangollen show a few years ago and received a great reception - but now I hear the show is bigger and better, so it promises to be a fantastic weekend for anyone who loves their bikes.”

Seven-times TT winner Mick Grant will join Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty MBE, the most successful World Superbike (WSB) racer of all time, as guest of honour at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival - LlanBikeFest 15 - on Saturday, August 1st 2015.

 

Mick (70) is currently working with the Norton Race Team on development of the SG3 Norton racer and will appear at the North Wales bike show just weeks after the June 2015 TT races. The bike will be competing in the Superbike and Senior events, piloted by Australian Cameron Donald.

Track experience prizes donated for Wales Air Ambulance raffle

Ron Haslam Race School backs new LlangollenBike Show

 

The Honda Ron Haslam Race School(left) has donated track experiences worth hundreds of poundsfor a raffle in aid of Wales Air Ambulance at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival

 

The top prizes are a Premier Experience at Donnington Park circuit, with intensive tuition on a Honda CBR600RR, plus an On Track Experience on smaller bikes, which is open to riders aged 12 upwards.

 

All of the raffle proceeds will go to the Wales Air Ambulance, which LlanBikeFest has adopted has adopted as its official charity.

Classic British trials action on Sunday

More than 100 classic trials machines will compete in a stage of the Northern British Bike Pre-65 Trials Championship (NBBC) at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival - LlanBikeFest 15 (www.llanbikefest.co.uk) - on Sunday, August 2nd.

All of the bikes are at least 50 years old and will be ridden on the show site from 11.00 am to 2.00pm, as part of a championship round hosted by Llangollen and District Motorcycle Club. It will include more than 20 miles of off-road sections and minor roads in the area.

Organised by the Poachers Pre 65 Trials Club, the seven round trial series is a tough test of rider skill and machine reliability, with classes for expert and clubman riders.
